November 2018
4th November 2018 - (Sunday, Vasárnap)
Very unseasonable weather today ..... well over 20 degs .... in November ! I photographed a few of the plants that were still sporting flowers. On arrival, I was 'greeted' by rubbish in the same area that I tidied last time. I took another walk along the 'buildings path' and met my Roe Deer again ! This time it was running towards me, and with the sun in its eyes, it didn't see me until quite late. I kept pressing and pressing the shutter button but the lens refused to focus. In desperation I switched to manual focus, but by then the deer had turned and soon vanished behind bushes. Time to break out the almost unused Canon gear, perhaps?
9th November 2018 - (Friday, Péntek)
Another quite warm afternoon .... and this is on 9th November !
13th November 2018 - (Tuesday, Kedd)
22nd November 2018 - (Thursday, Csütörtök)
A short visit to check on the general 'welfare' of the site.
27th November 2018 - (Tuesday, Kedd)
Another short visit as we've recently had a couple of days of rainfall. I was pleased to find that water was running down the road and into our channel. There was a small waterfall, and I cleared some of the accumulated road debris from the channel before departure. I heard the call of a Fieldfare close by.
28th November 2018 - (Wednesday, Szerda)
I should have known that cleaning the irrigation channel would mean the end of this mini 'rainy season'. Today, it was blue sky and sunshine ! The wind was very cold, though, and some small pools that had formed due to the rain had some ice on them. A Green Woodpecker was photographed, and another, possibly a Grey-headed, was also seen. Two Bullfinches flew overhead, calling, and a Fieldfare was also heard. There were lots of deer droppings on the top rim of the SQ, with Roe and Red being the guilty parties.
