February 2018
4th February 2018 - (Sunday, Vasárnap)
A short visit to check the site following yesterday's quite heavy snowfall. The temperature had risen somewhat, and therefore the snow had started to melt. A good flow of muddy meltwater was flowing down the hill and into our top irrigation channel. This, in turn, fuelled a small but vigorous waterfall. Most of the floor of The Bowl had a covering of water. All three Rock Baths contained water.
15th February 2018 - (Thursday - Csütörtök)
Photos from Teréz's 'sunny day' visit, during which she discovered a new species of Ladybird for the Small Quarry: Pine Ladybird - Exochomus quadripustulatus - Négyfoltos szerecsenkata. Teréz also found some species of fungi, lichens, and an egg case of a Praying Mantis that was almost submerged.
23rd February 2018 - (Friday - Péntek)
A short visit to check the water situation at the SQ. I was pleased to see that all the meltwater was flowing into the site, while, at the same time, wondering why 'Achim the terrible' hasn't blocked our channel for a long time. My visit took place on a cool, cloudy day, and little of interest was seen.
