August 2018 - Part 1
1st August 2018 - (Wednesday, Szerda)
False Graylings were everywhere ... I must have seen about 50 individuals during my foray.
3rd August 2018 - (Friday, Péntek)
An hour-long visit on a very hot afternoon. It was difficult to photograph butterflies as they were very active, and the wind gusts kept moving their resting plants. Not photographed was a Great Banded Grayling and a Wood White, but I managed to capture: Silver-washed Fritillary (male), Meadow Brown, Small Heath, Chestnut Heath, Silver-studded Blue, Chalkhill Blue (males), Grizzled Skipper, Short-tailed Blue, Small White, False Grayling, and Eastern Pale Clouded Yellow .... a total of 13 species. A juvenile Red-backed Shrike was pestering its father for food.
